The Web Site Forms.Gov is the one of the e-projects of Government of Pakistan to help people of Pakistan utilize the ease of modern emerging technologies. The purpose of this Web site is to provide people fast and easy access to all Government official forms in one place, so that they could get required forms directly from this site without visiting the official place physically. Who?s involved in the Forms.gov initiative? It is the official project of Government of Pakistan and the true reflective of the current Government policy to facilitate citizens of Pakistan the ease of modern e-technologies. What if I have specific questions about the Government Forms site? There is a link on the top of every page ?Contact Forms.Gov?. You can visit this page if you have any question about this web site. Can you help me locate a form? You can easily and quickly reach to the required form by navigating forms in more than one way. You can select to move with respect to Category, Issuing Authority, or you can also select to view all forms altogether in numerical or alphabetical order. You are also allowed to search for certain specific forms. For this purpose there are two kinds of search available: Simple Search and Advance Search. I am having trouble locating a form on Forms.Gov site. Do you have any solution? If you are having trouble finding particular forms you can try one of following options: ? If you know the category of the forms you can choose Browse by Category option. ? If you know the Issuing Authority of the forms you can choose Browse by Issuing Authority option. ? If first two situations are not there but you know some keywords of that form, you can go for the simple keyword search available on the top of every page. For example in case of school Admission form you can search for keywords like ?School?, ?Admission? etc. ? If Simple search does not work you can go for advance search to narrow down your search. When I download the form it does not open? In this site, forms can be downloaded in two formats. One is PDF format and the other is ZIP format. If you try to download form in the PDF format then you must have Acrobat Reader installed on your system. Similarly if you choose to download forms in ZIP format then you must also have some ZIP software such as WInZip or WinRAR to first unzip the forms then open it in Acrobat Reader. Sometimes keyword search does not work. Why? If one uses improper keywords then simple search might get fail so there are some tips while searching particular forms. ? Don?t use the general words like what, is, of etc. ? Don?t search for complete sentences like ?I want arms license forms? etc. ? User keywords like ?Arms?, ?License?, ?Form? etc. ? If still there is a problem go for Advance search. Are the forms that can be downloaded from this web site approved for use? Yes, all the Government forms available for download on this site are approved for use. When downloading a PDF form, my web browser window goes blank and I never receive the file? Should you experience PDF files appearing as a blank window within your web browser after downloading, follow the appropriate steps below to resolve the issue: Adobe Acrobat Reader If you are using Adobe Acrobat Reader version 3.0 or earlier, upgrade to version 3.01 or later. Internet Explorer Similarly try by using the latest version of Internet Explorer, Netscape Navigator etc. Also follow the instructions for downloading precisely given with every form. After you download a form, how do you open the file to read it? To view/print a PDF file from the Web, download the file to your hard drive or diskette, launch the Acrobat Reader (an icon will be created during the setup process) and open the file you just saved. Adobe Acrobat Reader claims the PDF file is damaged when I try to open it after downloading. Is your file damaged? All of our files are verified prior to posting on the web site. Most likely your download was not successful. Try downloading the file again. Which file format should I select for printing? The most frequently used format is the Adobe Portable Document Format (PDF). This format reproduces the documents precisely as they were originally composed, provides built-in compression, is supported by all popular operating systems and is compatible with nearly any contemporary printer. I do not have a laser printer. Are forms printed on ink-jet or bubble-jet printers acceptable for filing? Generally we accept forms that are consistent with the official forms and that do not have an adverse impact on our processing. This policy includes forms printed on high quality devices such as a laser, bubble-jet or ink-jet printer etc. As such, they must be printed using special paper, special inks, and within precise specifications. |
